The Fence

There was a large group of people. On one side of the group stood a man, Jesus. On the other side of the group stood Satan. Seperating them, running through the group, was a fence.

The scene set, both Jesus and Satan began calling to the people in the group and, one by one - each having made up his or her own mind - each went to either Jesus or Satan.

This kept going. Soon enough, Jesus had gathered around him a group of people from the larger crowd, as did Satan.

But one man joined neither group. He climbed the fence that was there and sat on it for whole of his life.

Then, Jesus came and took his people with him. So too did Satan. And the man on the fence sat alone.

As this man sat, Satan came back, looking for something which he appeared to have lost. The man said, "Have you lost something?"

Satan looked straight at him and replied, "No, there you are. Come with me."

"But", said the man, "I sat on the fence. I chose neither you nor him."

"Thats okay," said Satan. "I own the fence."

This story tells about the world and its decisions. These people spent their life choosing to follow what they think is best. Some choose to follow what is up to date, leading to a life that is satisfied by their sinful desires. Have you ever deliberately lied to your parents and felt good that they believed? We've all done that:) thats what I mean by following our sinful desires. There are also people who do not come to Church, some who don't take God seriously even when they're Christians. But you know what? The voice that tells you to do whats wrong will only tell you how good it feels for the moment-it won't tell you the consequence! The Bible says that,we'll all have to answer for every thing we've done wrong. Now, after I've said all these, you must be thinking, "This God is quite unmerciful..."? haha, well, this will be what happens when the world comes to an end:) and those who stand between God and Satan(not choosing anyone to follow) belong to Satan. Now, this is the best part: Ever since Satan tempted Man into commiting the first sin, the world has been bombarded with sins! And God knows that this cannot be stopped unless He sends His son down to earth so that we might be forgiven of ALL our sins. When Jesus died on the cross, He was dying for us. He was taking the whole world's sin upon himself and paid the wages- that is death. And when He ressurrected, He conquered death and He is the way to God! The way to living a life free of guilt and full of joy.God wants for all of us to believe that Jesus died for our sins, but He doesn't want to force us. He doesn't want us to just be robots for Him. So He gave us a choice! A choice to follow whoever and whatever we want in life- and ultimately, Him.

10-inches deep

A boy was sitting on a park bench with one hand resting on an open Bible. He was loudly exclaiming his praise to God. "Hallelujah! Hallelujah! God is great!" he yelled without worrying whether anyone heard him or not.

Shortly after, along came a learned man who had recently completed some studies at a local university. Feeling himself very enlightened in the ways of truth and very eager to show this enlightenment, he asked the boy about the source of his joy.

Without hesitation the boy answered "Don't you have any idea what God is able to do? God opened up the waves of the Red Sea and led the whole nation of Israel right through the middle."

The enlightened man laughed lightly, sat down next to the boy tried to explain the 'realities' of the miracles of the Bible. Modern scholarship has shown that the Red Sea in that area was only 10-inches deep at that time. It was no problem for the Israelites to wade across."

The boy was stumped. His eyes wandered from the man back to the Bible laying open in his lap. The man, content that he had enlightened a poor, naive young person to the finer points of scientific insight, turned to go. Scarcely had he taken two steps when the boy began to rejoice and praise louder than before. The man turned to ask the reason for this resumed jubilation.

"Wow!" exclaimed the boy happily, "God is greater than I thought! Not only did He lead the whole nation of Israel through the Red Sea, He topped it off by drowning the whole Egyptian army in 10-inches of water!"

Money Goes To Church

Money Goes to Church

A well-worn one dollar bill and a similarly distressed twenty dollar bill arrived at a Federal Reserve Bank to be retired. As they moved along the conveyor belt to be burned, they struck up a conversation.

The twenty-dollar bill reminisced about its travels all over the county. "I've had a pretty good life," the twenty proclaimed. “Why I've been to Las Vegas and Atlantic City, the finest restaurants in New York, performances on Broadway, and even a cruise to the Caribbean."

"Wow!" said the one-dollar bill. "You've really had an exciting life!" "So tell me," says the twenty, "where have you been throughout your lifetime?" The one-dollar bill replies, "Oh, I've been to the Methodist Church, the Baptist Church, the Lutheran Church..."

The twenty dollar bill interrupts, "What's a church?"
