PLEASE HELP ME KEEP CALM
Please help me get through the day
and not worry what others say.
I can quickly get very upset.
I hate being so sensitive.
So please help me keep calm
and not worry about everything and everyone.

YOU AND GOD
YOU AND GOD
(This is engraved on the wall of Mother Teresa's home for children in Calcutta.)
People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered;
forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
give the world the best you've got anyway.
You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God;
it was never between you and them anyway.

IGNORMOUS!

I just got back from my Church's youth camp a few days ago (14-17Dec in Malaysia) and on the day we came back, somebody initiated that we should all say aloud, "Hello drinkable tap water!" haha. Although we didn't say it, I'm going to say it now! HELLO DRINKABLE TAP WATER HAHA! As I ran the water through my mouth, I just realised I haven't done that in quite a while:)
hahh....today is a nice day:) the sky above my house was veeeery clear when i got back from Church! (don't know if it still is now. i can't get a good look from my window) it was like I could see a bigger portion of the heavens and how do I describe it?...such a nice view^^ I even felt special looking at it. I should have taken a picture of it!!! why didn't I think of that??
It looked something like the 3 photos above, combined together^^

My prayer today will be that God, You'll give a heart for this generation.
Hosanna my Ahma
Hosanna Bryan
Hosanna Edwin
Hosanna to Your people
Hosanna to every part of my life.
Hosanna= Save us
Seek Him and His righteousness and everything will fall into place.
God this is a love commitment to You. And You will be with me:)
P.S. I'll update my experience in camp another day!~

Please consume me Lord...
So Jesus
transform me from the inside out
Consume me
with Your vision for new things to come
Lord use me
through Your Holy Spirit in my life
Lord hear my cry
This is my cry to live for You
................................................................................................
And I have counted the cost
I will carry the cross
So take my hands
All that I have they are Yours
and You have laid out my course
I will live for this cause
transform me from the inside out
Consume me
with Your vision for new things to come
Lord use me
through Your Holy Spirit in my life
Lord hear my cry
This is my cry to live for You

Press on. Just press on
Just came back from drama practice from Church. We were rehearsing a short skit to act tomorrow, to promote the Life Charity Concert! Want to know more?
Trinity Christian Centre is partnering with the Straits Times to raise money for the needy! On our part, the youths are going to stage a musical and the ticketing money will go straight to the fund. For those who are wondering if there's religious content, no there won't be cos it has to be neutral. Its called the Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund. One real-life example of a recipient is this primary school boy who lives on 1 packet of maggi mee for the whole day for many days. And he is one of the more fortunate ones. The founder of this fund says that there are around 11000 more of such people here. Want to help needy people like that? Buy the tickets! Tell me and I'll inform you when I know the price^^
Today is a fruitful day:) Was basically sharing how I was to beloved ________. I said that I couldn't-didn't see myself in the future fully solving this problem of mine. Then I was reminded that God sees. God sees how I am in the future. God sees who I can be. I can't see, but God, You see everything and You will guide me and mould me. Even when all the things look like there's no hope, I must trust in God. Press on. Just keep pressing on.

All I need is You

I'm back to using this blog!!! cos blogspot is easier to customise haha..(although there's no option for 'friends only' posts) I can have a playlist, and a tag board too! so i'm permanently back i think^^
hmm actually i'm not sure what to write... lets see..:
I just read the birthday card that Zealots for Christ(2008 cell) gave me. I MISS ZEALOTS!!! i really miss you all..i miss our understanding for each other..i miss our unique laughters haha:)
The above picture is meaningful to me bcos it reminds me that God's Word, the Bible, is what guides me and leads me along God's will. I've been stuck at Hebrews 7. And every time I flip to it, I end up closing it after 15-30 mins cos I didn't learn something. I did think of changing to another verse, but I just felt that continueing to read it was better? Is this correct? Or should I do my TAWG from another verse?
God, would you tell me the one thing I need to focus on now?

"I'm sending you.." to do what?
As we enter into a new Poly and JC, we will once again enter into an atmosphere thats different from God's will. People will not have habits and cultures that we may be comfortable with. And there will be many situations where we(I) dont know how to respond. But God says in Ezekiel 2:6,
"Do not be afraid of them or their words."
"Do not be afraid of what they say or terrified by them."
Even if Christians are scarce there, and we are surrounded by people who can influence us with their ways, we will "not be afraid, though briers and thorns are all around [us] and [we] live among scorpions."
(Ezekiel 2:7)
Instead, "[we] must speak [God's] words to them." He is sending us there to tell them what He says! Whether they listen or fail to listen, even if we think that they will definitely not, we must still speak His words to them.
(Ezekiel 2:8)
"Listen to what [He] says", "open [our] mouth and eat what [He] gives [us]." This means that we must feed ourselves from God's word-to be careful not to adopt others' behaviours!

Loving God too much?
Has anyone heard someone saying excitedly, "God is great! I love Him too much!" ? Or perhaps we have said it before.
Today I went to my paternal grandmother's house
She had told me that her relative didn't like her going to Church when she was young. So I asked her, "What about now?". Surely there wouldn't be be anyone there to stop her anymore, I thought. She asked with a smile, whether I was thining of inviting her. Of course I said yes. Then she replied, telling me that she couldn't possibly go to Church every week- it was a matter of tiredness and her difficulty of walking, and the need for a Hokkien service to understand. She also said that quite a nunber of her friends were going to Church too.
Then surprisingly naturally, I went on sharing with her about my relationship with God for the first time! I told her about how God was always looking after me..
prompting me to pray for someone who finally found her lost bag, which was very important..
how I wasn't nervous for my O level results because I know that He is in control and has a purpose for me wherever I go.. how I wanted her to feel the happiness too, that someone us there to take care if us and He loves us more than anything. Then she looked at me with a slight smile and said, "I will go with you soon."
I said all these in mandarin, a language I don't use to share about God! Indeed, it is by the grace of God. Indeed, when we share about God, our tongue will move in His will.
A few hours later, I went back to my aunt's room feeling really thankful. Thoughts like "I can't thank You enough, Lord!" and "You've done so much for me!" came to my mind and soon, this thought: "I love You too much, God!" But I quickly put it away. Instead, I said to the Lord, "I love You so much!".
Other than the testimony, here's something else I wanna share:
There's no such thing as 'loving God too much' simply because we cannot out-love God! We can never love God enough because His love is ever so boundless and has no limitations.
Isn't this beautiful and wonderful to know? There're no boundaries to how much we can love God, how much we can do for Him and how much we can obey Him!

Love
1 John 3: 18
"Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth."
God wants us to love with actions and in truth. Whether it is towards God's people, our family or even those who do not know God, He wants us to show love with action and in truth. If we were to write a card or tell our family how much we love them, He would rather we love them with action and in truth.
To love with action is to do acts of service unto the people we love, which is every person on this earth- the saved and the unsaved- because God loves us All.
To buy breakfast for my family.
To help with the housework.
To pray with them.
To talk to anyone who looks lonely in school.
To buy something for them if they can't go and eat...
To love in truth is to love in a Godly way by following how the Bible defines love! To love Your people the way You love us! Some verses to always remember are: 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, 1 John 3:18.
